Illustration Fri. - kite 'parade'

acrylic, artist crayons, pitt pen, charcoal - on paper

"Don't be afraid of opposition. Remember that a kite rises against - not with - the wind."

A quick & simple entry in my journal for this week's IF prompt 'parade'. Feels like my creative kite has been grounded these last few weeks, haven't felt much inspiration whatsoever......this too shall pass, yes?

Wishing you all much creativity and if you're feeling creatively blocked or stalled at the moment, I know exactly where you're at!! :>

This is a new kind of parade but definitely a creative and free one.

Laura... maybe we're on the same page.. but these kites, wow... seriously!!! They are so jumping right off the page at me. I LOVE them... imagining them dancing across the green grass, absolutely they're inspriational... I hope you see it too.

I have to say I was really disappointed and uninspired by the word this week! I've decided to post a little less for now to get things ready for moving. Blogging takes so much time.

I love the softness and the simplicity of this :)

Isn't it strange that so many of us feel blocked right now when Spring usually fires our creative juices. Hmmm.

How funny. The word verif for today is "mumsi." Pretty funny for Mother's day!

your parade of kites is definatly very creative. i would never have thought of it like that. and yes the creative block shall past. sometimes it can take awhile but in the end your art will be amazing.

This doesn't look like a block to me! Very pretty & uplifting.
I hope you're not fretting about the block. It's just part of the cycle of things.
I've been reading an interesting book called "Art & Fear" that you might enjoy. It's a little paperback that's been out for a while, very inexpensive & worth every penny in my opinion. I read it in snippets.
