January Art Journalers - Jan. 5th

from my affirmations journal - jan. 5th 'connect'

A little late posting my journaling for Misty Mawn's January Art Journalers Group. It seems like everytime I want to commit to something like this, my attempts are thwarted in some way - unexpected commissions, everyday life, blah, blah, etc....No excuse but certainly a reason :>

I hope YOU are finding time to journal everyday, or every second day or once a week or a couple of times a month....you get the picture. Journal whenever & wherever you can -- embrace & nurture your creative time, no matter how much of it you have and what you end up creating!

By the way, don't forget to enter my GIVEAWAY! All entries must be in by January 14, 2009 to be eligible. Read all the wonderful & inspiring AFFIRMATIONS everyone is embracing for this brand new year. You can enter at the January 1, 2009 post below - good luck!

That must be your beautiful hand my friend!

Your three column design looks fantastic!

Your comment touched me and warmed my heart -- thank you so much. It was a privilege to stand in your light as well.:)

What a beautiful entry! I love the circled words within a circle. Very inspiring!

This year my resolution (for lack of a better word) is 'self-care." I bought a book called The Art of Extreme Self Care by Cheryl Richardson the other day. It's like she's speaking directly to me! Anyway, the reason I bring this up is that you reminded me of it when you listed your reasons for not following through with some things even though you have the best intentions. One quote from her book on that is "When you catch yourself saying things such as...I never have time to do what I want to do,...what you're really saying is : I don't take time for my needs." I love this book.
I hope I come away from it by learning from it and fulfilling my needs :)

FANTASTIC picture and I can very much relate to making the committment to journal with Misty, but have slipped and haven't stayed up to date...but doesn't matter, like you said... just find the time and embrace it.
