Dropping Petals

We come to realize how fragile life is

As time passes and things fade away.

We may remember some moments

with wistfulness, sadness or regret.

Even when we know the necessity

of 'dropping petals'

If we are ever to bloom again.

-- LTM

Do you need to "drop some petals"?
What are you holding onto that you need to let go of?

We all fade and then bloom again in one way or another....

Don't be afraid to drop those faded petals - creative methods that aren't working for you, a relationship that has had its' time, or maybe it's a negative habit you've wanted to give up....

Those 'faded petals' hold you back and hinder you from fully blossoming...

Working on a new journal today, signatures are pressed,
needle & thread are ready to go....
will post how-to's very soon, so stay tuned.

And now it's time for some iced 'sweet tea', temps are heading up
into the 100's again today - stay cool....

This image is just beautiful...what medium is this worked in? It looks to be almost a photograph, or a photograph enhanced in some way? The poetry and sentiment are perfect...I've been working on some pruning this summer.

Thank you Sandy - yes it's an altered photo created in Photoshop/PS Elements. The original rose was bright pink, I was going for a faded, vintage look :>

How very true, I know sometimes I hold on to things I shouldn't...I should live in the present and not in the past and realize that life must be lived to the fullest!
