SoulCollage - hunting & gathering..

I'm finally taking a break from business stuff like organizing my studio, crafting out some wares for my local shop and designing my new website and SO......ready to start in on some SoulCollage, I could really use it at this point!

This particular SoulCollage Discovery Circle is being hosted by the lovely and super talented Carl Kurt (Anonyrrie) through her Wings 4 You Coaching blog. "Here we will share the journey of looking within, listening to our intuition and creating a deck of cards to explore and nurture our souls. Using Seena Frost's book, SoulCollage: An Intuitive Collage Process for Individuals and Groups as a guide, we will work through the various chapters to learn about the SoulCollage process, the four suits in a SoulCollage deck and how to use our cards to do readings." - Carla Kurt

A few weeks ago, I starting randomly cutting/tearing out images while going through magazines, newspapers etc. and tried to not make sense out of what I was selecting to keep it as intuitive as possible. I also started writing down some things as they came to me, this one in particular is in the "I AM THE ONE WHO..." format:

"I am the one who
asks the questions
and seeks the answers
to find my truths
leaving no stone unturned
nor path undiscovered

to my soul's being"
--Laura Taylor Mark

I'm not sure how much time I can devote to this but I'm really hoping I can get a small, basic deck created. It's not too late to jump in, won't you come & join us?!

That sounds interesting Laura, would need to investigate more to see if i could step in but tearing things out of magazines sounds fun, my first thought was my christmas mags lol!

I used to go to a Soulcollage group on Tuesday nights last year. I remember the first night, it was so powerful! I like to 'plan' my collages but when we chose our images in silence (after a meditation) what emerged was totally unplanned and awesome. The person was certified in the technique and she was perfect in her guidance. I have at least a dozen completed ones in a carry box somewhere lost with all of my stuff from the studio.
Hint: National Geographic magazines are the absolute best source for these!

Have fun with them. If I find my cards I may post some of them, but with our upcoming cross-country move I'm going to have my hands full!

Yay! I'm so glad you're getting started! Lolo makes a good point about the meditation. You need to meditate and focus on your intention to be open to your intuition, and then see what comes forth. I'm looking forward to seeing what you create.
