12x12 journal, mixed media
It's been awhile since I took part in IMT so glad I was able to squeeze some journaling in today and share this. This is the first time I've created anything with pears in it, I was inspired after going through some of my photos for still life.
The past few months have been a bit busy & strained for me, I won't go into detail (because I may need some cheese with my whine, *smile*) so I've been reminding myself to slow down, be grateful and savor all the juicy bits, as ebb usually follows flow for me :>
Anyhow, it was so fun playing with my new artist crayons and scribbling away, adding paint & charcoal, knocking it back here and there, then finally scanning it in and adding the text digitally (2 of the words were made with my wacom pen)

ReplyDeleteoh...I love it! I collect pears. I started it when I was learning to see the beauty in my full figure...aka fatness! I think pears are a wonderful reminder that beautiful things come in all shapes ;)

Hello stranger... I love pears! I have too many around my house but there's just something about them that intrigues me.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're having a fabulous summer, Laura... I'm afraid that you and I could have some of that "whine and cheese" together since the last part of the summer has been a rocky one on this end, too.
